Discovering Life Without Pressure
The Women Of Earth Bridge-House is close to completing one month. So many inventions and extraordinary moments have already happened so far that it would be impossible to translate them into words, but we are Women and we try to do the impossible, so check out this newsletter three articles about some of the discoveries we are doing here.
Life in the house is intense, two new women have arrived since our last newsletter, one woman - Alice - has left, and it is clear to notice the Bright Principles and the Non-Material Value that each one brings to the Bridge-House and how it enriches it. Together we are discovering how to do Villaging, how to Radically Relate, how to be in reality, and how to create without pressure. By Gaia! There are so many things that I (Danielle) feel afraid of not having the ability to express with all my enthusiasm when writing these words.
In these last few weeks we delivered the Transformational Menu of Possibility. After a challenge from Vera we designed our Menu and headed to the beach to offer our non-material value and discovered our joy in meeting peopleĀ and being PM Village Makers. We had the first Emotional Healing Party, a completely free party for holding space and going through Emotional Healing Processes. We created postcards about the Women Of Earth Lab and theBridge-House as an excuse to shift identity into a Village Maker and make contact with other women edge-workers in FlorianĆ³polis. By shifting identity into Village Makers we started to attract other women Edge-Workers easily. It has been a surprisingly common experience to be sitting in a cafe, or shopping in a market, and a woman overhears our work and comes to us to know more and how to participate. Once after Alice expressed her resistance to meeting German people, she met two German women that expanded her box by being very interested in Transformation. One even shouted across the cafe for her to not leave until she had Aliceās contact because it was that vital to her to know about the Bridge-House.Ā
We collaborated in a Possibilitator dinner with all the Possibilitators in FlorianĆ³polis and we had an exciting discovery conversation with the question: āwho do we need to become to create a village in FlorianĆ³polis?ā. We also tested our courage and physical skills by crossing a huge lagoon in kayaks in the middle of a tropical storm until we reached a secret waterfall guarded by the local Earth Guardians. Life here pulsates. It is not comfortable and that is why it is full of Life.
And before you read our articles, we want to tell you one last magical thing that happened in the last few days. With the arrival of more women at Bridge-House (we are going to be 9 soon), we needed to find a bigger house to live in. The search was intense and almost frustrating. None of the houses really worked. Sometimes the house itself had enough rooms and space but it was right in the middle of the city, a big no for us. Or sometimes the location was great but it did not have enough infrastructure. We agreed that on a certain morning we would make our decision with whatever options we had, and then make do.
We were sitting at the lunch table, and Vera comes downstairs and says: āI had an impulse to just send messages to several owners of large and expensive houses telling them about our project and asking for a giant discount.ā She had a shocked look on her face. āI received a response and itās incredible!ā The response was from a house owner that had messaged Vera soon after she sent the message, and said that she was a woman on her healing path too, and had fallen in love with our project. That yes, she would give the discount, that she wanted to join us, and that she had called for us and a project like this in her heart. Furthermore, she said she had only one condition: it was that the woman writer currently living there could stay until the end of her stay, which would be 1 week into our stay. And then she said that the woman writer was writing about the history of the women witches in the island. There were goosebumps all over, the writerās research was matching our own!
It was crazy. There wasnāt enough time to go see a second house, we all had calls and meetings. Plus it was highly unlikely she would agree to let us see the house in 2h. We asked anyway. The answer was yes. It was clear the green traffic lights were aligning. Danielle and Vera decided to cancel their calls, and Anna, who was not so keen on going to see houses, joined us, because we were suddenly all going together. It was our first road trip with the new constellation.Ā
When we arrived we met the women we corresponded with: Isla. Isla kept saying that she called for us, I was thinking that she wanted to be with people like us and we showed up. The house was perfect. The location was great. The stories that she told about herself and the house were one by one, probably unbeknownst to Isla, touching the hearts of each of the Women Of Earth. The connection with the Toucan touched SĆ³nia, who has been incredibly attuned to the birds in the island. When Isla mentioned that the previous owner was convinced that the main tree of the house (now in full radiant pink bloom) was dead and wanted to cut it and Isla said no, and brought it back to life, that moved Anna. When we said we were going to scream and make that kind of noise, Isla replied that the neighbors were witches and wizards and that noise would not be a problem. When we asked if we could have open spaces and invite people to workshops with us, Isla was radiant and said that this was what her dream was about. And the last thing that touched us all was that even though this was the high season, and she had many people asking to rent the house, she took a stand and blocked the entire time because she was serious about wanting this project to happen there. We met a fellow Possibilitator. ECCO directed us to our new home, and a new Village Maker Witch in FlorianĆ³polis.
